The Women’s Prosperity Alliance began with a clear insight: Africa’s greatest source of untapped growth isn’t buried underground. In fact it’s already in motion, led by women. For years, these women have been building companies, holding communities together, and unlocking value without ever being centered in the flow of capital. WPA was formed to change that. Built by leaders across sectors and borders, this is a platform where investment meets depth, and where the women driving Africa’s markets are recognized as the architects of its future. Our story is rooted in experience, and shaped by those ready to do things differently.

The strength of WPA is rooted in the women who lead it including economic minds, market makers, and policy shapers who bring decades of experience across public and private sectors. Our alliance includes some of Africa’s most influential First Ladies, visionary entrepreneurs, and senior government leaders in finance, planning, and development. Among them is H.E. Ana Dias Lourenço of Angola, whose background as an economist and former Minister of Planning reflects the depth of expertise at the core of this platform. WPA is powered by women who understand capital, drive transformation, and hold the trust needed to move both markets and systems with purpose and precision.
